I'm riding a GZ250 and would like to move up to a Savage (really like the way it looks). As near as I can tell the GZ250 has about 20HP, acceleration 0-62 ~ 8.2 sec, top speed about 76 mph.
The GZ250 sounds a bit like a lawn mower, and has somewhat less HP and torque than the Savage, but otherwise the performance numbers (acceleration & top speed) look about the same (can this be?).
I'm interested in crusing the back roads, but occasionally have to take an interstate to get there. I know the Savage will get me there with more style, but what I can't figure out is, if it will get me there any quicker?
I hope to ride a Savage soon... Will I be disappointed with a stock version? -patrick
